The Actor: Shooting the Film

The film was scheduled to be shot over a two month period. They would begin with the scenes from before her decline and the scenes from her return. Once those scenes were finished they would film the scenes from her decline because she dyes her hair and shaves her head during that part of the movie. Taylor didn't mind shaving his head because he had an upcoming film role where he was going to have to shave his head anyway. After news and footage had been circulated of Taylor as a female, he began to get offers for film roles that allowed him to challenge himself. In his next film, which was based on a true story of a case from 2024, he would be playing a politician who is secretly a serial killer. For now, however, he was only focused on playing a woman. While other actors had played genetic female characters in the past, most were done for comedic roles. Taylor wanted to make sure he portrayed the character as convincingly female as possible, including accurate movements, reactions, gestures, and emotional responses.
As production went on, Taylor would be transformed into Taylor the female in the morning and remain female until the end of the day. The prosthetics took a while to take on and off, so Taylor decided it was best to leave them on even during breaks. Since he was dressed as a female, he continued to act as a female even when in the dressing room or eating lunch. While they set up for other scenes he would hang out with his girlfriend or some of the other cast members and to anyone who didn't know he was really a guy, he appeared like any modern woman of the 2030's.
On his days off, he returned to acting like his normal male self. He would go to public events with Brooke and was sometimes asked about his role as a woman. While he couldn't share too many details of the film, he would tell people that he was enjoying the challenge of the role and was looking forward to seeing the finished film. He would occasionally dawn his female persona to practice scenes with Brooke. While Brooke had kissed girls in past television roles and movies, they wanted to make sure they looked comfortable as a lesbian couple in the film. Taylor would also share a few kisses with the actor playing his pretend boyfriend in the film, but they were only light pecks and much tamer than the kisses he had to do with his male co-star in a film where he played a gay teen. Taylor and Brooke had a little difficulty getting into their characters' relationship at first, but eventually became more comfortable. While they had dated each other in the past and were now back together, it felt a lot different when they made out or had sex as boyfriend and girlfriend than it did as two girlfriends. They had to figure out how two women would move and pleasure each other, since neither of them had had sex with a woman as a woman. When it came time to shoot their kiss scenes and sex scenes, they had reached a point where they were able to present themselves as two women in love.
Eventually the beginning and ending were finished, and all that was left was the character's decline. For some scenes, they died Taylor's hair a variety of colors as she began partying, drinking, and using drugs. Each day Taylor's hair would be dyed a different color: pink, red, black, purple, etc. Finally, it came time for Taylor to shave his head. While he had known this moment was coming, it was a little difficult watching Taylor the female lose her hair. He put these feelings into his performance and felt they strengthened the character. After the scene was shot, Taylor went to see his reflection. It felt strange seeing a bald woman staring back, since he had gotten used to having long hair for so long now.
Finally, production was done and soon after any reshoots were finished. Taylor began preparing for his next role and Brooke moved in with him. Brooke moved on to a new role playing a biker chick and they were separated for a while as they both filmed their next movies. After their films were finished, Taylor and Brooke began touring the various talk shows to promote Life Cycle of a Star. While on one of the shows, Taylor was asked if he would be attending the premiere as his character, but Taylor laughed and said he attended enough premieres as a woman for the film. The hosts who appeared in clips in the film would also share their reactions to seeing him as a woman the first time and would ask him if he would play any female characters in the future. He told them he might, but that he didn't want to get typecast in female roles since he had been typecast in cute kid and teenage roles for most of his career.
The night of the premiere soon arrived, and Taylor and Brooke stepped out onto the red carpet. Taylor was wearing a black suit without a tie, and Brooke was wearing a knee length white dress. They went through rows of interviewers and photographers and posed and answered questions. Taylor had not yet seen the finished film so he did not know how it turned out. Eventually, they made it into the theater and sat in their seats. Taylor was anxious to see how well he did and watched the screen anxiously as the lights began to dim.
